About Me

My name is Alyssum; it's a flower. But you can call me Lyssy. I recently graduated from university with an English degree, which essentially means I am a well educated, un-hirable, debt ridden twenty-something. They should make a support group for us, because I'm fairly certain I'm not the only one. No matter. I like to dwell on the silver linings of life: the sky is the most undefinable & breathtaking blue, British accents exist, books are readily available, plaid and beards, hand-written letters, water, music, my niece's smile, a Care Center in Nigeria full of children who have my heart etc..I measure my spending in # of dresses. Earlier tonight I went out to eat & ate approximately 1/2  of one dress. Considering I could easily get a thrifted dress for a measly 6 dollars perhaps that meal was really 2 dresses. On the other hand, it's probably half of an average store bought dress.

I like bears, writing, fabric and thread stitched together, getting lost and found again, re-reading books, watching Cary Grant movies, & star gazing. I love working with my hands & the feeling of accomplishment when I finish something I started.

I believe God is real. His love is so much more than I can understand.

This is a place for me to share things I love and the beauty I see in life that will hopefully bring hope and encouragement to others.

Essentially, I'm a dreamer who loves reading out of doors and dancing like a fool.

All my love,
Lyssy
